Residents living in a S Eaton Street building were evacuated Friday morning after the Baltimore City Fire Department determined the rooftop pool was leaking.

Residents of a building on South Eaton Street were evacuated due to a leak from the rooftop pool that posed a risk to the integrity of the structure. The Baltimore City Fire Department responded to the leak around 8 a.m.

Fire units, along with the Office of Emergency Management and Baltimore City's Collapse Unit, are investigating the situation to ensure the safety of the residents and assess the damage.
Condemnation of Units
Currently, more than 60 units in the building are under condemnation as safety assessments are being conducted. A structural engineer has been engaged to evaluate the risks.
