France earned a 73-69 win over Germany on Thursday in the Olympic men's basketball semifinals.
Germany cut the deficit to two points in the final minute, but France never relinquished its lead. Yabusele finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Wembanyama recorded 11 points and three blocks.
France took its first lead of the game in the third quarter. Guerschon Yabusele scored nine points, bringing his total to 15. Schroder continued to lead the way for Germany.
France tied the game, and Wembanyama led the way, recording seven points, five rebounds, and one block in the second quarter.
Germany led by as many as 10 points, but France went on a 7-0 run late in the first quarter to cut into the deficit.
Germany will start Dennis Schroder. France will start Frank Ntilikina.
