Jonathan Ross was identified as the ICE agent who shot and killed a driver, Renee Nicole Good, in Minneapolis earlier this week.
Grindr and Snapchat
Some posts circulating on social media claimed that Jonathan Ross is ‘gay’ and maintained a secret Grindr account, specifically mentioning ‘Jross_104’ which was reportedly deleted, and that he purchased gay content from Snapchat creators. These allegations suggested that it was the same Jonathan Ross involved in the ICE shooting. However, Grok, an xAI-led bot, fact-checked these claims, confirming the ICE shooting by agent Jonathan Ross but stating that the allegations regarding his Grindr account and Snapchat purchases are unverified social media claims without support from reliable sources.
Jonathan Ross family details
Jonathan Ross' father, Ed Ross (80), confirmed in a statement to the Daily Mail that his son, the ICE agent, has been married since 2012 to a 38-year-old woman of Filipino descent. Ed Ross asserted that his son would not be charged for the shooting incident, describing him as a 'tremendous' and 'nicer, kinder person,' a 'committed, conservative Christian,' and a 'tremendous father and husband.' Regarding the Minneapolis incident, Ed Ross claimed that Renee Nicole Good 'hit him' and an officer's arm was in the car. Federal officials have not publicly named the officer who shot Good, a 37-year-old mother who was trying to drive away from federal agents. However, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem referred to a previous incident in June where an agent was dragged by a vehicle in Bloomington, Minnesota, which documents identified as Ross, implying he is the same individual involved in Good's shooting.
