The attack is the latest in a string of anti-Israel incidents in the nation’s capital since Oct. 7
The Washington, D.C., headquarters of AIPAC was vandalized early Monday morning with red spray paint and the words 'F*** Israel' scrawled onto the front and side of the building. Video footage showed three masked suspects defacing the property.
Marshall Wittmann, an AIPAC spokesperson, stated that they will not be deterred by the illegal actions of fringe, anti-Israel extremists in their efforts to strengthen the US-Israel relationship.
Palestine Action, a global network known for its targeted vandalism against property associated with Israel, claimed responsibility for the act. They described AIPAC as a corrupt foreign organization influencing American politics.
The Anti-Defamation League condemned the vandalism as an act of antisemitism and called for a thorough investigation by the D.C. police.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of anti-Israel crimes in Washington, D.C., since the onset of the Gaza conflict following the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas. Protests and vandalism have escalated in numerous forms following this incident.
The D.C. police have stated that their investigation into the vandalism is ongoing and they are seeking assistance from the community to identify the suspects involved.
