Savannah Louie, a 32-year-old former journalist from Atlanta, Georgia, was crowned the winner of 'Survivor' season 49. She secured her victory and the $1 million prize after winning a crucial fire challenge to reach the final three, despite having previously not made fire during the competition. Louie also tied the record for most immunity wins by a female player with four. The other finalists included Sophi Balerdi (runner-up), Sage Ahrens-Nichols (runner-up), Rizo Velovic (4th place), and Kristina Mills (5th place).
The full cast for 'Survivor' season 50, themed 'In the Hands of the Fans,' has been revealed and includes 24 returning castaways. Among them are several previous winners and players who have made significant runs in past seasons, such as Jenna Lewis-Dougherty (seasons 1, 8), Colby Donaldson (seasons 2, 8, 20), Cirie Fields (seasons 12, 16, 20, 34), and recent winners like Dee Valladares (season 45 winner) and Kyle Fraser (season 48 winner). Season 49 winner Savannah Louie and Rizo Velovic, who placed fourth, are also returning for this milestone season.
The 50th season of 'Survivor,' titled 'In the Hands of the Fans,' is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at 8 p.m. E.T. The premiere will be a special three-hour-long episode, featuring players who have either won previous seasons or came very close to winning the grand prize.
