Marvell Technology, Inc. announced plans to invest $250 million in India over the next three years to expand its technology, talent, and infrastructure capabilities, coinciding with its 20th anniversary of innovation in the country. This investment aims to double its headcount and strengthen its global innovation network, focusing on advanced semiconductor solutions for AI, cloud, and data infrastructure applications.
Advancing Semiconductor Innovation
Marvell has developed India into its second-largest R&D organization since establishing operations in Bangalore in 2006. Its teams in Bangalore, Pune, and Hyderabad possess expertise in advanced process technologies, high-speed analog IP, and end-to-end silicon development, contributing significantly to AI tools for engineering productivity. The company also fosters India's semiconductor ecosystem through collaborations with universities, startups, industry associations, and government organizations, supporting internship programs, faculty development, and joint research.
Marvell Scholarship Program
To cultivate future engineering talent, Marvell launched the MSTEM (Marvell Scholarship for Technical and Engineering Merit) program. This initiative provides financial support, hands-on industry experience, and exposure to real-world technology development for students pursuing degrees in electronics, electrical engineering, and computer science. The program, which selected 100 students from over 7,000 applicants across India, aims to bolster the country's technology talent pipeline for semiconductor and AI innovation.
