Banco Santander has launched Santander X Global Challenge | The Quantum AI Leap, a new global challenge developed in collaboration with IBM, Bluzec, and Oxentia Foundation. This global initiative targets startups and scaleups across 10 countries (Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the United States, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Uruguay) that are developing innovative solutions rooted in quantum computing and artificial intelligence. The challenge aims to uncover disruptive projects capable of transforming critical sectors such as finance, energy, healthcare, logistics, and cybersecurity through advanced computing, optimization of complex systems, and enhanced digital security. Companies can submit solutions in three key areas: technologies for quantum system development and scaling (including hardware and AI integration), solutions combining quantum computing and AI for real-world problems (software, algorithms, applications), and technologies for post-quantum cryptographic security. The six winning companies will share €120,000 in prizes (€10,000 each for three startups and €30,000 each for three scaleups), gain access to the exclusive Santander X 100 community, receive strategic mentoring from IBM experts, and up to €10,000 in specialized services from Bluzec. Applications are open until June 30 via the Santander X platform.
