Tencent Cloud, the cloud business of global leading technology company Tencent, today rolled out new offerings and tools of its enterprise AI stack to global markets at the inaugural Tencent Cloud Day Hong Kong. The summit, themed "AI in Action," brought together enterprise leaders, technology executives, partners, and developers to explore how artificial intelligence is moving from promise to practice in real-world business environments, focusing on deploying AI agents with clear business objectives, efficient models, and optimized infrastructure to deliver real outcomes.
Three Products Extending Tencent Cloud's AI Reach
Tencent Cloud unveiled three new AI products at Cloud Day Hong Kong: Tencent WorkBuddy, an agentic AI workspace that automates complex office tasks from data analysis to content creation, supporting multi-model integration and remote control via messaging apps. Tencent Design Miora, an AI-native creative studio, ensures visual consistency across brands and rapidly generates production-ready asset packs. TokenHub, Tencent Cloud's Model-as-a-Service platform, offers API access to Tencent's Hy models and leading third-party models, enabling flexible multi-model aggregation and cost optimization. These additions enhance Tencent Cloud's extensive portfolio of over 400 solutions for global enterprises.
Agent-Ready Infrastructure and Edge AI Inference
To support its advanced AI offerings, Tencent Cloud is making its cloud infrastructure agent-ready and optimized for real-time AI workloads. Over 100 Tencent Cloud product command-line interfaces (CLIs) are now Skill-activated, allowing AI agents to directly manage cloud resources using natural language. This is underpinned by Tencent Agent Runtime, a comprehensive suite providing high-performance execution engines, secure sandboxes, and memory management for faster, more secure agentic task execution. Additionally, global acceleration nodes are being upgraded with edge AI inference capabilities to deliver real-time AI applications with lower latency and higher performance, complementing recent expansions to 66 availability zones across 23 regions.
How Hong Kong Enterprises Are Putting AI to Work
Tencent Cloud is actively driving digital transformation across Hong Kong's finance, healthcare, utilities, and government sectors. A key highlight is a three-year Strategic Cooperation Agreement with China CITIC Bank International (CNCBI) to power its "FinTech 2.0" strategy, deploying Tencent Cloud's Anti-Fraud, e-KYC, Intelligent Marketing, and private cloud solutions. Tencent Cloud also announced a retail engagement with Japanese streetwear brand BAPE Hong Kong, in partnership with UXSoft Global Limited, to build a new cloud-native retail platform for its global stores. These collaborations demonstrate Tencent Cloud's focus on delivering tangible business impact through secure infrastructure and practical AI tools, contributing to its sustained high double-digit growth in Hong Kong over the past seven years.
Engaging the Next Generation of Hong Kong's AI Talent
Tencent Cloud is committed to nurturing Hong Kong's future AI talent through various initiatives. The "Hello Agent" Tencent Cloud Coding Meetup offered developers insights into AI trends and applications across industries. Furthermore, the "AI CAN DO IT" Hackathon, launched at the University of Hong Kong, is a global competition for developers and students from five regions, with finals scheduled for the Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit in September. These programs underscore Tencent Cloud's dedication to strengthening Hong Kong's AI ecosystem and fostering innovation among the next generation of professionals.
